Creative Skills Europe is a platform where a wide range of stakeholders from the European audiovisual and live performance sectors meet: trade unions, employers’ organisations, national skills bodies, education & training providers, professional associations, etc. Their objective is to better adjust the sector training offer to the needs on the ground, to facilitate access to training for all types of workers at different moments of their careers, to contribute to the development of the sector and to secure professionals’ career paths.
In 2023, European social partners from the AV and LP Sectoral Social Dialogue Committees adopted a European Framework of Actions (FoA) on Skills. The FoA aims to improve the relevance, quality, accessibility, and uptake of lifelong learning opportunities across both sectors, while supporting responses to major challenges such as the digital transformation (including the rise of generative AI), the green transition, and the promotion of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
The objective of the new project phase is to continue to promote access to training for all professionals in the audiovisual and live performance sectors, through the promotion of the FoA at European and national levels. It will aim at sustaining the exchange of knowledge amongst the network of key partners built over the years under the umbrella of Creative Skills Europe: national social partners, national sector skills councils, professionals associations, education providers, etc. from different EU countries. These exchanges will continue to be rooted in the recommendations put forward by by the FoA while updating the partners’ knowledge on the ongoing developments in the field and the new skills needs to emerge.
