Pearle * - Live Performance Europe is an international non-profit organization representing at the European level the interests of employers associations in the live performance sector, as well as cultural managers and individual organization organizing live events such as concerts or performances, or managing a venue , theater or concert hall.

From the micro level to the macro level, Pearle * provides information and advice to policy makers on policy initiatives and other issues relevant to the sector, while offering first-hand, detailed and tailored information to its members.


As a member of Pearle *, you have a spokesperson in Brussels to represent your interests with the European Institutions. That's why we take interest in your views, your issues, your questions.

Thanks to our broad expertise and reliance on knowledge and know-how within the Pearle * network, we can offer to all our member an invaluable platform to connect, exchange, learn and benefit from the various international contacts they can establish through the network.

Being a member of Pearle is about

 

Each year, more than a hundred newsflashes, briefing notes, analyzes, consultation papers, in-house publications, etc. are exclusively available to members.

 

Pearle has two main types or members: full members and associate members.

Full membership of Pearle * is open to established European national associations representing the interest of music and performing arts organizations and are members or employers. Only full members have a right to vote for the General Assembly and can be elected for the Executive Committee.

Individual organizations, non-European associations or employers or managers, European associations representing employees or managers in the performing arts who are established may become associate members . Depending on the type of service, individual organizations can sign up for basic, plus or full associate membership.

Associations from a European country

National Associations of employers or managers in the music, performing arts and live performance sector who have their head office legally established in an European country may be full members of Pearle * after acceptance by the General Assembly. Full members are the heart of the association. Only full members have a voting right and can be elected to the Executive Committee.

Associations from a non-European country

Non-European associations of employers or managers in the music, performing arts and live performance sector who are established in accordance with the laws and practices of the country in which the head office is located may become associate members of Pearle * after acceptance by the General Assembly.

European associations

Networks with a membership primarily focused on Europe representing a specific part or segment of the live performance sector and which brings together the leaders and managers or respective organizations can become an associate member of Pearle.

Individual Organization

Membership is open for organizations directly involved in production, programming, distribution, venue management, management of festivals and others in the broad field of music, performing arts and live performance. 

It concerns:

  • Organization or company which has subsidiaries in more than one European country (including EU member states) and is based in a European country
  • Organization which is due to its international activities (touring in the EU, programming or international groups) have a truly European interest
  • Organization or company, which is due to its specific legal status, cannot be part of an existing employees association in their respective country.
  • Organization or company which is a member or an associate member (a European network) but has no representative through a national association
  • Organization or company which -with the agreement- or the full member association chooses to support the activities of Pearle in the form of member and gains in this way additional visibility

There are three categories in "organization membership" as follows:

  • Basic : benefit from exclusive access to information coming from European rules and policy and benefit from the opportunity to meet with colleagues from across Europe
  • Plus : benefit from access to information, meet with colleagues from Europe, have your voice heard
  • Full : benefit from all of the above and take advantage to raise your particular issues and take part in the development or positions from the association
