Designed to highlight and celebrate the role of employers organisations that normally undertake their activities ‘behind the stage’, the aim of the Awards is to serve as a source of inspiration for other associations as well as to increase their visibility in their own respective countries as well as internationally. They are an essential component of Behind the Stage, an innovative project run by Pearle* with the financial support of the European Union, aimed at empowering the role and capacity of employers associations and strengthening social dialogue in the European live performance sector.
Inspired by the principles set out by the European Pillar of Social Rights, the Awards will recognize good practices and outstanding accomplishments in the following fields: Cooperation; Diversity & Equal Opportunities; Skills/Training/ Lifelong Learning and Social Dialogue/Collective Bargaining. They are accompanied by a Spotlight on Heritage in Culture and the Arts Award, in recognition of an individual arts organisation’s outstanding achievement.
At the beginning of October a specialised Jury met in Paris to choose the award-winning applications. decide which of the applicant organisations were to receive the awards. The results will be announced during a Gala Event taking place on 22nd November, 2018 at the Bozar Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels, in the presence of representatives of from the different European institutions, members of Pearle, applicants, partners and other associations.
