Following the Commission proposal for revision of regulations 561/2006 and 1071/2009 Pearle* calls for special attention to the long touring of music bands or circus that have the tradition to be several weeks on the road for concerts and shows across Europe. Those bands or circus, make use of the service of transport companies to take all the technical equipment, sets, music instruments, and others, and travel with the crew  (the team of the artists and technicians) that are part of the tour.

As those drivers form part of the touring group, the current proposal would disrupt the tours.

In this paper, Pearle*, along with the European Circus Association, proposes a solution to deal with this specific issue.
