The Commission has launched a public consultation on specific exemptions proposed under RoHS for electrical equipment, including discharge lamps containing mercury which are used on stage and for live events.   

The European Ecodesign-Coalition, representing artists, manufacturers and service providers in the theatre and entertainment technology sectors, participated in the consultation with a joint statement.
