Pearle* and EILA joint statement on the revision of CITES Resolution Conf. 16.8 on frequent cross-border non-commercial movements of musical instruments

Improving travels with musical instruments containing protected species such as ivory, tortoise shell, Brazilian rosewood, lizard skin or others and ease CITES related rules for the music sector is high on the agenda of Pearle* - Live Performance Europe.


European CITES authorities are currently discussing possible changes to international CITES rules and a coherent revision of the European musical instrument certificate. 

Pearle* and the International association of violin and bow makers (EILA) drafted a joint statement to support this initiative.
