The European Social Partners in the Live Performance sector have jointly developed two Online Interactive Risk Assessment tools for the use of the sector, one targeting productions and the other covering venues. 8 years after the finalisation of both tools, now is an opportune moment to take stock and to evaluate how effective and fit-for-purpose the tools are for present times. The project will also look at topics which were not originally included in the tools to ensure that the tools reflect the current reality and needs of the sector.
This new project will bring together national social partners and experts in health and safety work to exchange experiences and to share good practice. The project also aims to discuss with the end-users of the tools to update and refine them, and raise awareness across Europe on risk-assessment in general and on the two tools specifically. It will also take into consideration the wider context of environmental and digital challenges and thus prepare for a modernised approach to risk assessment. The project will provide a context and a platform for national social partners to engage in dialogue and to work together for a safer live performance sector.
